Control VLC Player from your Dashboard
VLC Player is my favorite media player for Mac, simply because it can handle so many different formats.
VLC Widget is a handy add-on that allows you to control the app from the Dashboard. It enables you to access the player without having to leave full-screen mode. It's not particularly complicated - it simply allows you to access the basic controls; Play, Pause, Stop, Previous, Next, Full-screen, Volume Up, Volume Down and Mute. There are no preferences and it would have been nice to have seen at least some function for toggling subtitles on and off or zooming in and out.
VLC Widget is ideal for any VLC fan who doesn't want to exit full-screen mode while enjoying one of their favorite films in VLC Player.
